How to: Homemade chocolate chip cookies

I'm back!
My apologies for the lack of blogging, I was extremely busy writing my graduation research for school. At the moment I am waiting for the board to decide upon my faith which means I have some time for myself and ofcourse you again!

To celebrate this joyfull fact I am introducing a new type of blog, one that I am intending to use more often: 'How to'.
In my How to blogs I want to share my knowledge or experiences with you so not only me, but also you guys at home can give a shot in what I am doing. Whatever 'it' is depends on each different blogpost.

To start of right, I proudly present my first How to blog.
'How to: Homemade chocolate chip cookies'

What do you need?
225 grams of butter (room temperature)
350 grams of ligth brown castor sugar (basterdsuiker in Dutch)
2 eggs
400 grams of flower
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoon of yeast (gist in Dutch)
225 grams of chocolate, dark chocolate works best but all sorts are possible

A handmixer
Several bowls
At least two baking sheets (bakplaten in Dutch)
Baking paper

What to do?

- Preheat the oven at 180 degrees. (Remember to leave out the baking sheets)
- Put the butter and the sugar together in a bowl and mix well.

- If the substance of butter and sugar is well mixed, add the eggs one by one and mix together well.

TIP! Break the eggs in a seperate bowl one by one before adding to your butter en sugar. Why? If the egg is bad or some of the shell gets in there while breaking it, the rest isn't ruined.

- Add the flower, salt and yeast and keep mixing untill every ingredient is well dissolved in the dough. This dough is very heavy and thick so you will probably need a high level of speed on the mixer.
- Chop up all the chocolate in chuncks, don't grate it because then it will be too small, and add it to the dough.

TIP! If you have trouble chopping the chocolate, put the bars in a bowl and put them in the microwave for just a few seconds on the lowest heath level. But make sure they don't melt! The bars still need to be solid. Also use a knife that has 'teeth', this will give you more grip on the chocolate but watch your fingers.

- Again, mix together well so that the chocolate chips are divided evenly in the dough.
- Cover your baking sheets with baking paper, this to avoid your cookies to get stuck to the baking sheet, and make 6 little heaps of dough on each baking sheet. Keep them seperate from eachother so they still have space to 'grow'.

TIP! This dough is enough for 24 chocolate chip cookies, so you bake 4 baking sheets with each 6 chocolate chip cookies. If you have less baking sheets, like I do, you bake the cookies in several shifts.

- Put the cookies in the oven for about 10 minutes. The exact time depends on the exact heath of each seperate oven so watch the cookies from minute 9 until minute 12.
If the cookies look brown around the edges with small cracks, they can come out.
- Leave them on the baking sheet until they are cooled off entirely. If you don't, like I did sometimes, they will break easily.

- Present them in a cute cookiejar. I like my jar with cupcake design but one of glass looks very nice too.

Bon appetit!

This is a recipe from the Hummingbird bakingbook with some slight adjustments due to my own experiences.
Hummingbird Bakery is created by Tarek Malouf and is a huge success in London.
They are famous for their cupcakes, brownies, cakes, pies, bars and cookies.
You can find them on Portobelloroad in Notting Hill, Old Brompton Road in South Kensington and Wardour Street in Soho. If I ever visit London any time soon, you can find me there.
Visit the website here: http://hummingbirdbakery.com

I would also like to thank the readers that have left a message lately. To be honest I didn't think this blog was actually read by people so I appreciate the messages very much, thank you!
If you have any comments, tips, or requests for blog subjects I would very much like to hear them. So please comment! I'm so curious who you, my readers, are.

I am planning to make a recipe for World Championship (soccer) cupcakes.
If this recipe works out well, I will write a How to about it too.

If you have any questions about this recipe, feel free to ask them.
For now: Have fun baking, thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you!

The festival season is open!

Yes yes, I know. It did not actually start yet.
But if you know me a little, I am already preparing myself for it.

What to do, what to take and most importantly: what to wear?!

I will show you a few of my favorites, maybe then you'll recognise me on Pinkpop and Rock Werchter this year!

To start off with: hair.
Having your hair blowing in the wind, wild and free is amazing but in a huge crowd it can be very annoying too. But no worries ladies, because I found a very stylish solution, the new trend for 2010: the Alexander Wang braid.
I love it!

To follow chronological order, next up is: tops.
You never know what the weather will be but what you do know (or should know) is that coats are a no go. Very annoying, uncomfortable and to heavy to carry around.
So best is to choose for a cute top with vest.
Cold? You wear the vest.
Hot? Bye bye vest.
Rain? (yes it happens) wair a poncho with your vest. Still not too hot :)
Of course you still want to look good and not boring.
This top by H&M is cute, not too expensive and you can still get a tan with the spaghetti straps!

For a vest I would advise something made a cotton. Cotton does not irritate, does not make you sweat any more then you already do in the crowd and it breaths.
If you wear a cute top you can choose a simple vest. Of course you choose a color that matches with your cute top ;)

Or with a little shorter sleeves:

Personally I realy like jeans shorts. If you know before hand that the weather will suck, leave the shorts in the closet for next time. Looking cute is important but not important enough to get ill!
Why do I say jeans? I like girly things but I like it even better in combo with something tough.

So, for good weather prospects:

For not that good weather prospects:
I really like the boyfriend jeans

Then we are getting to bottom of it. What to put on your feet?

Expecting rain? Take advantage of the situation and wear these supercute boots:

Bright sunny day ahead of you?
Go for comfi and cute kicks.

(Yes, these babies are mine!)

Without a print is very cute too.

Or keeping it more simple.

Great weather and not afraid to have your toes crushed?
Flipflos are the answer my friend!

Is that it?
No no. You never go without some frosting.
Here some crucial accesories:

I already found a picture that has the basics of my favorite festival look.
Add some accesories, braid that hair and maybe change some colors.

Darlings, I'm ready!
What about you?

I'll take you to the boozyshop

I know the 50 cent song goes a little different but I want to introduce you to a great site here ladies!

After reading a beauty blog from cashmere & cupcakes I was googling for Essie, a nailpolish brand. The very first hit was a Dutch site!
So you know me, I couldn't resist and took a peak.
The site did not only have the beautifull brand Essie but so much more! And, also tres importante, it's aaaaall make-up!

If you really need to save your money, you might want to sleep on it before cleaning out the whole online store because I'll tell you, it's amazing.
The two brands LA Colors and Diamond cosmetics have all the colors of nailpolish you could wish for. From bright blue to golddigger gold and subtle nudie colors.

But there is more: Lipsmackers, lovely candles, old school lipbalm, huge sets of eye shadow and even professional chairs and kits for make-up artists.

So what did I order since I'm such a fan.
Well here it goes...

LA Colors, nailpolish: Berry Red & Apricot

Diamond Cosmetics, nailpolish: Tropical Dreams & Oh Tiff!

Lipsmackers: Red Raspberry

Jealous already?

Then you might be even more when I say this:
Shipping was superfast and supercheap!
I ordered and payed my things on thursday and the box with lovelies arrived on saturday! Of course it helps that this store is located in Holland but Hey! Do you hear me complaining?

I'm wearing the Apricot nailpolish now and it makes me a very happy girl :)

So go on and make yourself happy too!

You name it

First of all: Welcome to my renewed blog!
I figured it was time for a new look to fit the messages so here it is!

The subject of today: pet names.
One of my friends has two new pets but the poor things don't have a name yet. Why? Because it is damn hard to choose a good name for your baby that stays a good name in all situations.
Think about it: If it's a dog and it runs down the street you have to yell it's name really loud, you don't want to look like a fool yelling crazy words down the lane while people stare at you.
You might have to introduce your new pet to a few people, what will they think? And last but not least it has to be damn cute!

Of course names are personal, so different for everyone but I want to share a few suggestions with you.

For pets that belong together:
Dior & Chanel
Joan (Jett) & Cherie (Currie)
Viktor & Rolf
Bach & Beethoven
Aston & Martin
Ben & Jerry
Abra & Cadabra
Bonnie & Clyde
Eboy & Ivory
Rock & Roll
Oscar & Emmy
Scotch & Soda
Posh & Becks
Starsky & Hutch
Blair & Serena

Of course we do not all have twin or brother/sister pets, so here some suggestions for single pets:
Pancakes
Oreo
Bobby
Boots
Gizmo
Baby
Elmo
Miles Davis
Dexter
Yoko
Zara
Hurley
Coco
Peaches
Cookie

These are just a few I thought of, if you are really looking for names this website is great: www.bowwow.com.au

If I would have needed to name a new pet, he or she would have gotten a whole list of names.
Go ahead and fetch some!

If he loves you...

Taylor Momsen knows that boys will be boys. Even at her young age she is that wise.
Here a song from her and her band: The Pretty Reckless
I hope the album is out soon!

He loves you

If he loves you and you believe,
Chicka chicka drip drop on your knees
If he loves when you're dead and gone,
Kissy kissy killer kitty play along
But as for all inside your wounded soul,
He's never ever gonna let you go,
He's never ever gonna let you go,
He's never ever gonna let you go,

If he loves you
He loves you not
Be the one to leave him baby don't get caught
If he loves you
Set your heart on fire
Hate to be the one to tell you he's a liar
If he loves you
He loves you not

So call him closer
Be a doll
He gives you just a taste
But you want it all
But if you stumble before you fall
Take a little taste or you'll lose it all

If he loves you
He loves you not
Be the one to leave him baby don't get caught
If he loves you
Set your heart on fire
Hate to be the one to tell you he's a liar
If he loves you
Oh yeah if he's loves you
Oooooh

Bet your wishing for the day
Wishing and wish it all away
Bet your wishing for the day

Yeah he loves you but he loves you not
Be the one to leave him baby don't get caught
Cause if he loves you, and set your heart on fire
Hate to be the one to tell you he's a liar
If he loves you
Then loves you not
Be the one to leave him baby don't get caught
Cause if he loves you
Ohhh yeah if he loves you
He loves you not

New year's resolutions

Everyone makes them, most of us break them.
This year I decided it's time for some change. Change that stands for keeping my resolutions and be happier.

So, what will I try to keep up?

1. Go to Zumba every week.
Or do a different workout if the Zumba class ends. I must do this to stay at least a little sportive and fit.

2. Loose some weight.
Complaining on how you look and complaining plus doing something about it are two different things. I used to be the first or a little bit in between but I only give myself two options this year: complain and do something or don't complain at all.
We all need to think positive so this is a start.

3. Use a planning.
Every year I buy journals, a calendar, an agenda. And every year they end up on the pile beign maybe used once or twice. First of all: it's a waste, it's better not to buy them at all if I don't use them. Second: It's not really clever. I used to forgot work, homework or appointments because I wanted to know everything from the top of my head.
Secret between us: they make all that stuff for a reason, because people like me are not able to remember everything.
So I already have and started a new agenda for 2010 which I am going to use. Really use.

4. Play guitar
I started to play when I was 9 on my little acoustisc guitar (which I still have) and bought an electric one later, when I was about 14. When I still had a teacher I played every week and sometime after that I still did on school but those times are over.
It's no exception that the guitars are a little dusty sometimes and that is unacceptable.
So, we need to start actively again. Allison Robertson didn't get where she is by sitting around Naomi, get off your ass and do something.

5. Take good care of myself
If you are happier, you also look better.
So I will do fun things but also mind what I am eating, what I am doing, how I look. The sky is the limit as long as I feel and look better:)
I used to be really boring too the last year, so this is the year of change!

Happy times for president!

Cupcake day

Yesterday was cupcake day!

Here are some pictures of the process and the result.

Readin' the recipe thoroughly

Mixing the good stuff

Tataa! Looks like a cupcake already

Making baby-pink frosting stuff

The result! Cute aren't they?

I used the book 'Cupcakes' by Jane Smith. It has all kinds of different recipes for the dough and for several toppings.
I think for the first time, I did alright!

I'm in love. Again, again

This time not someone, but something won me over.
The love for it existed already but one of my christmas presents has really done the trick.

I am absolutely head over heels with

Cupcakes

The ultimate dream would ofcourse be to open my own cupcake bakery. Move over Magnolia Bakery! Here comes my hot to trot cupcake shop. The Cupcake Girl!
To be really able to do that I better start practicing.

I will post the pictures of my debut as cupcake baker here in my next post.
I'm considering chocolate cupcakes with pastel colored frosting.
Sounds yummy, right?

So what have I been up to?

Just say hello!
I had my meet and greet with Paramore! They were so nice and they totally loved my present: wooden shoe slippers! It's so Dutch but still comfi so I choose well.
This is our picture!

Working 9 to 5
I was hired as the new intern for Dutch Mountain Movies in Amsterdam! Yay! So I will be working there from February.

'Pas avec toi'
I found the band 'Plasticines'. It's a French girl-rockband. The people who know me that I am all girl power and rock music so this is a great combo.
Their new album is called 'About Love' and it has English and French songs on it, it's great!

That's it for now!
Next blog will be the result of my awesome (hopefully) cupcakes!

I wanna know what it'd be like...

To find perfection in my pride, to see nothing in the light.

I found a new love and I want to share it with you!
Enjoy

Paramore - Turn it off
Lyrics
I scraped my knees while I was praying
And found a demon in my safest haven, seems like
It's getting harder to believe in anything
Then just to get lost in all my selfish thoughts
I wanna know what it'd be like
To find perfection in my pride
To see nothing in the light
But turn it off
In all my spite
In all my spite
I'll turn it off

And the worst part is
Before it gets any better
We're headed for a cliff
And in the free fall I will realize
I'm better off when I hit the bottom

The tragedy, it seems unending
I'm watching everyone I look up to break and bending
We're taking shortcuts and false solutions
Just to come out the hero
Well I can see behind the curtain (I can see, yeah yeah)
The wheels are craking, turning, so wrong the way we're working
Towards a goal, that's not existent
It's not existent, but we just keep believing

And the worst part is
Before it gets any better
We're headed for a cliff
And in the free fall I will realize
I'm better off when I hit the bottom

I wanna know what it'd be like
To find perfection in my pride
To see nothing in the light
But turn it off
In all my spite
In all my spite
I'll turn it off
Just turn it off

Again
Again

And the worst part is
Before it gets any better
We're headed for a cliff
And in the free fall I will realize
I'm better off when I hit the bottom
And the worst part is
Before it gets any better
We're headed for a cliff
And in the free fall I will realize
I'm better off when I hit the bottom

You don't have to believe me, but the way I see it...

The way I see it? Is that Paramore made an incredible new album!
I took my time on the way to school to listen carfully to all the songs and the whole album is pure honesty. Of course everyone has it's favorites but I already have more than just one favorite.
Hereby I will give you a small piece of lyrics from each song, my favorite parts.
The official date of release is the 29th of September but I hope my deluxe box will be here earlier, I'm in love.

Careful
You can't be to careful anymore,
When all that is waiting for you.
Won't come any closer,
You've got to reach a little more.

Ignorance
Where's your gavel? Your jury?
What's my offence this time?
You're not a judge but if you're gonna judge me
Well, sentence me to another life.

Playing god
You don't have to believe me but the way I, way I see it
Next time you point your finger I might have to bend it back
or break it, break it off!
Next time you point your finger, I'll point you to the mirror.

Brick by boring brick
Well she lives in a fairytale, somewhere too far for us to find.
Forgotten the taste and smell of a world that she's behind.
It's all about the exposure, the lens, I told her.
The angles were all wrong now,
She's ripping wings off of butterflies.

Turn it off
I wanna know what it would be like
To find perfection in my pride
to see nothing in the light.
But turn it off in all my spite,
in all my spite I'll turn it off.

The only exception
My momma swore that she would never let herself forget
And that was the day I promised
Id never sing of love
If it does not exist
But darlin,
You are the only exception

Feeling sorry
I feel no sympathy,
You lived inside a cave!
You barely get by the rest of us,
You're trying, there's no need to apologize,
I've got no time for feeling sorry!

Looking up
Honestly, can you believe we crossed the world while it's asleep?
I'd never trade it in, cuz I've always wanted this!
It's not a dream anymore! Oh
It's not a dream anymore! It’s worth fighting for!

Where the lines overlap
Give me attention, I need it now
Too much distance, to measure it out, out loud
Tracing patterns, across a personal map
And making pictures, where the lines overlap
Where the lines overlap

Misguided ghosts
Misguided ghosts
Traveling endlessly
The ones we trusted the most
Pushed us far away
And there's no one role
We should not be the same
I'm just a ghost
And still they echo me
They echo me in circles

All I wanted
Think of me when you're out, when you're out there
I'll beg you nice from my knees
When the world treats you way too fairly
It's a shame i'm a dream
All I wanted was you..

Get that album as soon as you can!
You are crazy if you don't.

You know you love them
xoxo <3

You don't even like boys

Some guys are just hopeless, and Katy Perry understands that exactly. Go Katy!

I hope you hang yourself with your H&M scarf
While jacking off listening to Mozart
You bitch and moan about LA
Wishing you were in the rain reading Hemingway
You don’t eat meat
And drive electrical cars
You’re so indie rock it’s almost an art
You need SPF 45 just to stay alive

You’re so gay and you don’t even like boys
No you don’t even like
No you don’t even like
No you don’t even like boys
You’re so gay and you don’t even like boys
No you don’t even like
No you don’t even like
No you don’t even like…

You’re so sad maybe you should buy a happy meal
You’re so skinny you should really Super Size the deal
Secretly you’re so amused
That nobody understands you
I’m so mean cause I cannot get you outta your head
I’m so angry cause you’d rather MySpace instead
I can’t believe I fell in love with someone that wears more makeup than…

Chorus

You walk around like you’re oh so debonair
You pull ‘em down and there’s really nothing there
I wish you would just be real with me

You’re so gay and you don’t even like boys
No you don’t even like
No you don’t even like
No you don’t even like boys
You’re so gay and you don’t even like boys
No you don’t even like
No you don’t even like
No you don’t even like… PENIS

I heart Jasper

Yes, it is true. Head over heels, dazzled, swept of my feet and almost crazy in love if I would know him for real.

Jasper who?

Well he is known by many names: Jasper Hale, Jasper Whitlock or Jasper Cullen.

Still don't know who I am talking about?
Then first take a look at this

The character Jasper, from the Twilight Saga, is not as well known as characters as Edward Cullen, Bella Swan or Jacob Black. But if you really forgot about him, you are clearly missing my point.

Jasper, who is the the partner of Alice Cullen, has a better part and background history than you might think. No one is really sure if he is married to Alice, since this is not stated in the book clearly, but he found his 'soulmate' in her, as far as that is possible for vampires. Jaspers' history starts around the civil war, this was also the point where he was changed.
His ability is to control emotions, which I think is the coolest thing ever, and from his history of war he knows all about making strategies to win from the opponent. To me that's not a little thing either. His owns his ability because he already had a lot of charisma in his human time.

Jaspers' part in the first movie and book was not a big one, but as the story continues he will step into the picture more often.
Of course, that's a thing I love because no one has a better 'shocked face' than Jasper. He probably looks that way because he is amongst humans almost all of the time, and since he is the latests member of the Cullen family to give up drinking human blood, that's a struggle.
As you can see in the trailer for the new movie, New Moon, Jasper attacks Bella when she cuts herself on paper. Bad thing? Well, people say it is. But, as bad as the saying sounds in this situation: the guy is only human.
Of course he actually is not, but he still feels needs like humans do and he needs to stop those. I can imagine that it would be very hard having human blood shoved under your nose.

Imagine yourself following a very strict diet and someone else waving chocolate cake or a big mac in front of your face. Challanging?
Yes clearly.
Dear Jazz, I don't judge you and until Bella finds her way to protect herself from it, you can bite me anytime.

You do not need to tell me Jasper does not exist. I am old enough to stop believing in farytales and horror movies (well, some at least), so my dreamprince on the white horse who drinks blood (detail!) will not show up at my door. But the real person who takes his part is pretty amazing too!

Of course I will miss his shocked look and his blond hair, but Jackson Rathbone is a winner to me!

In the following movies he tells something more about himself and Jasper to MTV.

Clearly, my baby is not a beach bunny. But no stress! I would love to stay inside with you all day. Or we can take a holiday at night times, pretty sexy.

Here for you to read, the complete interview with Jackson Rathbone. Because I like it for sure.

'Twilight' Tuesday: Jackson Rathbone Explains Jasper's Angst And Edward's Attraction

By Larry Carroll (MTV.com)

Lately, we've been doing a lot of talking about "Breaking Dawn," the best-selling latest novel from Stephenie Meyer - which seems only right, since the eyes of Twilight Nation have been buried deep in its pages for the past few weeks.

But with the recent announcement that the Twilight movie has slipped into the high-profile release date that Harry Potter left wide open, this week's Twilight Tuesday returns the focus where it belongs: the eagerly anticipated film that is now only 94 (!) days away.

Since I began meeting the cast, I can't shake the thought that Twilight might become one of those Breakfast Club, Diner or Dazed and Confused - type movies that launch the careers of numerous young stars and then leave us all looking back, amazed that they all once acted together. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson obviously have big-time acting chops, and actors like Mike Welch, Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz are just a few of the others who seem like they could similarly explode if given the right project.

If I were a betting man, however, I'd place my money on Jackson Rathbone, a 23-year-old actor who also plays several musical instruments and has lived all over the world. In person, he's a cool customer with an Elvis-like twang, radiating the kind of charisma that could make George Clooney look like McLovin. While speaking with him, I found a disarmingly intelligent star who took the Twilight world as seriously as any super-fan.

MTV: Tell us about your character.

Jackson Rathbone: Well, I play Jasper Hale, also called Jasper Whitlock, or Jasper Cullen; I've got a lot of names. [Laughs.] Jasper's from the Civil War [era], and that's when he became a vampire. Since then, he's been sort of wandering around; he's got a great back story, but that takes place in the later books. In this movie, Jasper is very angry, and still very reticent about his lifestyle of not eating humans.

MTV: Every year, it seems, Hollywood gives us a ton of vampire movies. What's going to make the Twilight movie different?

Rathbone: Well, most vampire movies are all about the gore and the action and the violence. This movie's about the heart. It's about what moves us as humans, and what is so moving to us that it is even encompassed beyond humanity. These are creatures - they're not people, they're not humans, they're kind of the decrepit side of everything. They're dead; there's no oxygen. They can't feel cold, they can't feel anything, but they can feel emotions and what those emotions lead us to do. You can choose morality, or you can choose the life that nature has provided for you, which is death. It's kind of a life-versus-death-story, but not so much in the realm of "you're going to get killed or get to do some killing," but whether you're going to choose to love life and choose love.

MTV: Why, after all these decades of storytelling, do we still care about vampires?

Rathbone: Well, I think everybody wants to be a vampire. I used to want to be a vampire [when I was young]. It'd be great, you know? Run around at night, never die, kill people. It sounds like a great life!

MTV: Yeah, but is there more to it than just being able to live in a horror movie?

Rathbone: I think the appeal is the mysticism of it all. We're searching for something beyond ourselves, and we find it in a lot of folklore, and a lot of these old stories that get tossed around about living forever and always being beautiful and young. That's the allure of the vampire: You don't age, you don't have to worry about getting old, or never accomplishing something. Time is not a factor, and I think that most people, especially these days, are caught up in time.

MTV: And then, at the center of Twilight, is this great Romeo and Juliet - caliber love story. What can we expect to see from the work that Robert and Kristen have been doing?

Rathbone: Edward and Bella have the greatest sadistic, masochistic relationship there probably is, because Edward is putting himself through hell by being around her; all he wants to do is eat her. But he can't, because of his morality. ... Bella knows what she's getting into, and Edward knows what he's putting her through. So, you get these great characters who are so concerned about each other that they're not concerned about themselves.

MTV: What is it, exactly, that makes them so enamored with each other?

Rathbone: It's a love that is bred out of interest, almost. I mean, he can't read her thoughts, which is something so beyond him and so beyond anything he's come across in his life, so he's intrigued. He's so attracted to her. And she's attracted to him and his ability to coast through everything and be so respected and admired. It's like he doesn't even try. ... What Rob and Kristen have brought to these parts is this amazing lifelike [quality]; it's never fake. It's never put on. There's this weight behind them, and you can see it the moment they call action.

MTV: Your character was a Confederate soldier back in the day. Have you done research into the period?

Rathbone: Yeah, I did a bit of research about the Civil War. I was always interested in it, and I did spend a bit of time [living] in Texas, so whenever I took Texas history, I learned a lot about the Civil War. I was lucky enough to have that background around me already. What I've focused on was the stoicism. ... I never really grew up in the South, I grew up all over, but for my family values and all the Southern values: You don't speak unless you're spoken to; you keep a very calm demeanor; you try to keep everything as light as possible, but if things get heavy, it's not like you're not going to step up. But it's weird to talk about the actual character elements of (Jasper), because it's all so intertwined with the story of the third book, which is where Jasper begins to expand on his heritage and how he was turned and how he lived.

MTV: So, are you planting little seeds in Twilight that will pay off in the sequels?

Rathbone: Yeah, I'm putting it in, here and there. It's nice. I can't do too much with Jasper's power. Jasper has the power to manipulate emotions. There's a danger in that. There's a danger in having that ability, because if you're constantly manipulating emotions around you, there's no reality around you. And because Jasper is able to distort reality, I wanted to steer away from that. I wanted everything to be as real as possible. So I've tried to make the choice for him not to use the power [for now], to be as stoic as possible, be as still and just concentrate on keeping himself at bay, especially in terms of the hunger.

MTV: I can't help but notice that you've naturally got a Southern twang in your voice. Are you keeping that for the character, to show his roots?

Rathbone: I try to keep it as light as possible, because he's been around for 200 years. He hasn't been in Texas that entire time. ... With Jasper, it would be too much to have that accent, especially when you're pretending to be a normal kid. If he had a Texas accent in Washington, in Forks, I think people would tend to notice him a little bit more.

MTV: Are you signed on for the next two sequels?

Rathbone: Yes, I'm signed up to do all three. So, hopefully, all the fans like me in this one.

MTV: What's the coolest thing about being a vampire?

Rathbone: The singular coolest thing, to me, would have to be the ability to just stay out of the sun. I'm not really a sun person; I'm not a beach bunny. I'm more of an indoor-sports kind of guy. You know, just sitting at home with a guitar, very simple. I'm all about nightlife. I live during the night, so that would have to be the coolest aspect for me.

That's my crush until so far.
You know you love me... and Jasper... and Jackson!

I just want your kiss boy

Yes, sometimes that is just the case. Nothing more, nothing less...
Kate Nash wrote an awesome song about it and it's called: Pumpkin Soup

My favorite song at the moment! Whoo Whoo

You're chatting to me like we connect
But I don't even know if we're still friends
It's so confusing understanding you is making me not want to do
The things that I know that I should do
But I trip fast and then I lose
And I hate looking like a fool

I just want your kiss, boy (kiss boy, kiss boy)
I just want your kiss
I just want your kiss, boy (kiss boy, kiss boy)
I just want your kiss

The lights are on and someone's home
But I'm not sure if they're alone
There's someone else inside my head
Living there to fill me with thread
This paranoia is distressing
And I spend most of my nights guessing
Are we not are we together
Will this make our lives much better

I'm not in love
I just want to be touched

I just want your kiss, boy (kiss boy, kiss boy)
I just want your kiss
I just want your kiss, boy (kiss boy, kiss boy)
I just want your kiss

Whoops I think I got too close
'Cause now he's telling me I'm the girl that he likes most
Now I'm messed up
It's not the first time
I'm not saying you're not on my mind
I hope that you don't think I'm unkind

I just want your kiss, boy (kiss boy, kiss boy)
I just want your kiss
I just want your kiss, boy (kiss boy, kiss boy)
I just want your kiss
and so on, and so on

Enjoy!

XOXO

The life of a rock chick, hot or not?

For a course at school we got the assignment to write a radio column, so hereby I proudly present my debut as a columnnist!

Like many other people, I like day dreaming once in a while. Think over your career, childhood dreams or fantasies you secretly would like to come true. My perfect combination of these three? Becoming a real rock chick.

For me, and probably many other girls, this seems the best lifestyle you can think of. Imagine yourself using all your creativity to write lyrics and music, tour around the world and see the crowd go crazy over your gigs.
But does the life of a rock chick come that easy?

Let’s start with popularity of rock bands. Even now rock music already exists for a long time, men are the ones dominating. ACDC, The Rolling Stones, Linkin Park and Metallica are examples of bands that will be mentioned when you ask people; what is the best rock band?

Are female rockers taken seriously? Do people think also women can be amazing drummers, guitar players and are they tough and edgy?
Because rock music was made big in a time where feminism was not an issue yet, the men set the standard.
Rock music is hard work, cigarettes and leather, dark rooms and screaming guitars.

In my opinion leather looks more hot on women than it does on men and so do dark rooms, but what about the rest?
Life on the road means hard work and long days, so the rock chick needs to show her muscles. In the music scenes there is no time to wine over a broken nail, show those men what you are made of.
Of course moving around speakers is not your main job, you need to blow your fans away, but while woman have smaller hands to cherish that guitar and have higher voices, that start is made.

Still not convinced? So you are a tough cookie, but no worries because I have a successful rock chick for you.

After this column, open Google for her picture, but for now I proudly represent my favorite chick ever, Allison Robertson.

Allison Rae Robertson, born in 1979 is the ultimate example of a successful rock chick. As guitarist of the band The Donnas she has been playing shows since 1993 with growing success. The band, including only girls, released 7 albums and a dozen of singles and soundtracks. As the crown of her success Allison won the title of best female guitar player of the well known magazine Guitar Player in October 2008.

For me, Allison Robertson is the living proof that it is still possible. That is why I will not give up on my dreams. I’ve got the leather jacket, eyeliner and electric guitar… now let the fame kick in.

When I grow up..

I'm sorry! It took a while again for me to come up with a new post.
My excuse? It's been hectic and sometimes a little dramatic too but I found some time to write to you about my thought again.

Ok so here's te story because I was reminded of some chilhood memories, and also of some memories of a stage where I was little older, officially older because you will see that mentally we (yes we) where still 8.

During the wonderful holiday called Carnaval in 2006 I was at a different place every day, together with my awesome friend Esje. If I remember correctly we started the first night in Made, then we moved on to Etten-leur, Raamsdonksveer and to finish it off we went to Breda.
But to start of with the actual story, Carnaval is about drinking to much and make out with random people. Actually I think it's not supposed to be about just that but nowadays it clearly is. (You'll see the proof in February)
Because we were partying every night until everything closed we lost it a little bit, well let's be honest, we were totally wasted!
I think that first day in Made was the worst.
We were dressed in pink mini skirts with wings and glitter everywhere and to finish it off in our style, allstars. Our identies where changed, that night we were elves and my name was Faylinn. When we were kicked out of the bar because it was closing we ran around outside singing " Pump it! Louder!" and found a snackbar on wheels.
For a little while we seriously thought someone stole our french fries but actually we just ate really fast and didn't really realise it anymore.

After solving that mistery we were bored and really not tired yet so we were dancing on the streets and passing all the stores and ofcourse the stores have windows! In those windows there are those dolls that you can dress up and in one store the doll had no outfit anymore and his ass was facing the outside.
Because our magic wand was hitting everyone already for most of the night it decided to hit the ass of the doll too (it really wasn't us doing that, it was the wand!

After that it all got a little blurry but I remember we made it home in some way and ended up on the kitchen floor laughing our assess off. When we woke up the next day, in bed suprisingly, I realised I still had all my smokey-eyes-makeup on when I fell asleep so half of my face was black, yes like a panda!
When we saw each other we died of laughing again because I think she was wearing 20 layers of clothing because she was so cold that night.
That moment, no offence to anyone!, Die Toerk & Pandi were born.

I am really suprised I remember all this still when you think how much we drunk those nights!
After that we kept calling each other this way and had gigant plans for the future.

Ever heard of a better company name than Die Toerk & Pandi Productions?
I don't think sooo!

Our company would become a kick ass music label with Pandi as the producer and die Toerk as our photographer, the rest of the tasks would be fine, no worries.

We even made a little parody to a well know song to make clear what our life would be:
Lifestyle of the rich and the awesome!

We would call ourselves fabulettes too, because ofcourse we are just fabulous!

All the awesome artists like The Kooks, Lily Allen and Paramore wanted to be with our label and we became famous al over the world. We have houses at all the greatest cities in world to do business the right way and have a holiday or two.
We both have our dream guy, Max Rafferty from the Kooks with Es and James Morrison with me.
Unfortunately that part of the plan is messed up now because Es is with Bas now and James Morrison has a girlfirend and baby.

For serious business we would hire secret-knight-agent Bob, yes even his real name is a secret! You remember him for one of my first posts? Because we are sooo succesful I also decided to do some interior designen aside of it because I just love it and all the stars wanted to hire me for it. Together with the art of Esje we would be unstopable!

Yes we do have a lot of imagination, don't we?
But I have faith that someday these Toerk & Pandi will just be as succesful as we discussed but maybe the company would look a little different with some other artists.

The first real ambition I had was when I was a really little girl. My parents took me and my two sisters to the circus and that's where it all started. Little Noes saw a woman in a beautifull costume on top of an elephant!
From then on I wanted to be a 'elephant rider in China'.
Please don't ask me why and what the reason was for China but I think it seemed really obvious to me that if you were an elephant-rider you lived in China.

To try a little interactivity for a change, what where your childhood ambitions?

At this moment I just want to finish of school to be a Media & Entertainment Manager and whatever my job will be in the future, I have faith that I will be rich & awesome with Es!

So that's it for today! It's time to shower and make smoothies! No, not making smoothies while showering, that would be a mess

Promise I will post soon again!

xoxo Pandi

My heart is yours...

Yes yours!
I'm sorry but I have to say it's not to all of you, or maybe in a different way.
Because there is a big chance that the cutie I fell in love with can't read.
Here he is!

I'm still trying to find out what his name is because without a name no love letters!
I found him on the website of Babs+Milo, from the dog fasionshow in Weekend met Marielle and I fell in love right away.
ps1. My sister already promised me she would give me a dog when I live on my own!

Paramore for movies soundtracks!
As you know this is my favorite band and there is big news!
Paramore is making two soundtracks for the new movie Twilight!
The first song is already on youtube and it's called Decode.
They are still busy on the second song so keep reading my blog to stay up to date!

My sister is a lucky bastard
Yes she did it again, win something!
This time it was a magazine related thing. No not just a prize you could win by making a phonecall.
NO!
Last saturday was National Glamourday and my sister managed to get a photographer and cameraman to follow her and her 3 friends around for a whole day of shopping!
With every thing they tried on a picture was taken so you should watch that magazine when it is out next month!
The article is gonna be 4 pages.
Well sister, I admire you

Welcome to a new verb!
I Wii, You Wii, We Wii!
Yes we all do, because I have one at home!
I already had some battles in baseball, golf, bowling, tennis and last but certainly not least, Mario Kart!
You can choose out of 12 characters, 6 of 7 cars and loads of parcours.
No one's gonna stop me now!

Gossip Girl is keeping me waiting!
And it's SO not fair!
I was waiting for a exciting new episode and then, they skipped a week!
If they tried to get me angry, they sure did!
So now I have to wait until next week for the thrilling new episode where they all visit the universities.
The teaser on the CW website made me really curious so when you are looking for me tuesdaynight, keep looking because I won't be there!
Then it's just me and Chuck

My friend Sil is staying in the USA for this year and I just got a message that made me real happy!
1) Of course because I heard from here, Bellingham is pretty far away, Sillie I miss you!
2) Noes is getting presents!
To be exact I am getting this amazing chewing gum I bought in my month in the USA but that's all gone now.

Thank you Sillie!
Soon your stroopwafels and fruitella will be on their way!

Thursday 16 october we have a new day of filming for Weekend met Marielle! Do you want to be audience?
Let me know and I'll send you the details!

That's it for now

It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day!

Or maybe not?
If you simply take a look through your window you know what I mean.
Today felt like a sad, lazy and especially nasty day.
The nasty is because for the rain of course. It makes your hair do crazy things, you feel cold and sticky, everything stays wet and every bus that passes you by has steamy windows.
This is a typical day to stay inside with a feelgood movie and just do nothing else, unfortunately most of us had to go to school, work or in my case, to internship.

But then again, here I am with the Noes-News update!

Harrie is hiding!
In my last message I told you about our new pet, the hedge-hog.
My dad baptised him(or her) to Harrie! I think it's a pretty good name for our hedgie.
We found out a few of it's hobbies!
One of Harrie's biggest hobbies is sunbathing, in the following picture you see Harrie relaxing in the lovely sunshine a few days ago.
After a lazy daydream Harrie also likes sports, in the second picture you see him in action, jog around the clock!

As you can see Harrie is one busy hedge-hog!
Unfortunately we have not seen him for a few days but we hope it's because of the weather. Come home Harrie!

I have friends all around the world!
Yes I really do!
I thought this was a good opportunity to tell you about some of my friends that are taking a big step, a really big one.
The first friend is Andrea, also known to me as Andy.
I know Andy from school but she is not from Holland, but from Germany!
After setteling down in the lovely city Breda she went back to Germany for her internship. And not somewhere in Germany where she is from, but Munchen! Sorry for the grammar but I can't find the U with dots.

Another friend that left this frogcountry for her internship is Sharon!
She is a real Dutchy but decided to spend the twenty weeks as an intern in England!

Last but not least, our Sillie!
This is not a matter of internship but going to college in the USA for a whole year!
She is living in Ferndale in the state Washinton.

I hope you girls have a great time and keep me up to date with all the hot gossip!
I really admire what you are doing although I miss you!
Someday I wish to do the same thing, or maybe I'll visit you very soon!
I'd still like to go to New York, England again and Australia someday.
Where is my piggy bank again?!

I survived my first day of filming!
Last thursday we filmed the first 3 episodes of Weekend met Marielle!
Yes 3 whole shows on one day. It was busy, I was a bit nervous and then it all worked out just fine!
Let me tell you a bit about a few guests we had that day:
We had Marjolijn from the cute store Babs + Milo, she brought Babs, Boef and Sas for a fabulous dog fashionshow!
The dogs were just to cute, I almost kidnapped Sas, and they did their thing on the catwalk for sure!

Maik de Boer stopped by to tell us more about his clothing line for women who are a little bigger than some of us, he showed us they can look great and sexy too!

Another guest was Marion who cooks biologic-vegetarian, this all in the animal day spirit! She made several dishes for us to show how tasty it can be to cook with a little more thought.

We also had Mireille and Jacques from the shoeboutique Shoeks as guests and they gave us a show with new trends for the fall and winter.
When I was explaining a few things to them we found out they even sold my new boots! Just not to me because I already had them of course, but still they sell them too.
And here they are! Aren't they lovely? (you should sing that)Aren't they wonderful? Lalala

Now I am in the fasion spirit anyway My Gossip Girl t-shirt arrived!
A small package with "Fred Flare loves you" arrived at our home today.
Inside I found my awesome t-shirt with Chuck on it!
and here I am!

It's really hard to make a picture of yourself that shows the entire t-shirt but it says TEAM CHUCK and has his picture on it.
I'm lovin it!

Do you want to find out which Gossip Girl character you are?
Go and find out!

You make it real for me

Noes is back!

It took a while but now I have enough to tell you again!
The Noes-News

I turned 19!
Not that I really wanted to, because now I am slowly moving to 20 and then you never get out of the 'ty' again. twenTY, twenTYone, twenTYtwo.. you get where I am going?

We have a pet again!
After our very sweet rabbit we didn't have a real animal anymore, but now we do!
Not just some animal, it's hedge hog! In Dutch we called it 'een egel'.
Now you probably think I am going mentally ill but I did not buy it somewhere on the internet or went to the forrest to catch it. It moved in to our garden itself.
It's really cute! But I haven't named it yet.

Big news from one of my favorite artists!
Singer/songwriter James Morrison is a daddy!
He and his girlfriend Gill have a beautifull baby girl, her name is not made public yet. Actually I do not agree with this at all because James was supposed to be mine one day! But still, it's pretty cute and I think James will be a good daddy too, so Congrats James!

He also has a new single again, the song is called 'You make it real'. It's a typical James song and of course I love it, and this is only a small piece of the new album that is coming out!
Watch his new song on Youtube!

From August 16th on I am an intern at TV station Brabant 10!
This is already my sixth week and I can say, I think I am really doing a good job.
This thursday, September 25th we are filming the first 3 episodes of Weekend met Marielle already and I arranged a great deal out of it.
These episodes contain fashion shows in terms of dogfashion, shoes and accessories, a young singer who arranges a benefit concert for charity, a modelling contest and much more.

So wacht the first episode of Weekend met Marielle at the 3th of October on Brabant 10!

We also filmed a tournament of poker with famous people from Brabant. They battled each other with poker to win 20.000 euro for charity! I am not going to tell you who won yet but I can tell you it was exciting!
A few of our players were the singer of the cover band Big Shampoo & the Hairstylers, Do, Frank Lammers, Grad Damen, sports writer Chris van Nijnatten, Sven from restaurant Coquille and Mari van de Ven.

The Brabant VIP series of poker are on Brabant 10 every friday from the 2nd of October to Christmas eve on.

Gossip Girl season two has started!
I am happy Serena, Blair, Chuck, Nate, Jenny and Dan are back because god I missed them! At this very moment my sweet laptop is downloading episode 4 already so if this is the first thing you hear about it, this is what you should do:
- find the program Bitlord on google and download it for free
- when you have managed to do this, go you!
- go to the website www.eztv.it
- find the button saying 'showlist' at the top
- try not to click all the other great shows you see in the list
- find gossip girl and start downloading those episodes!
- after that, watch it of course!

My lovely friend Esther showed me an awesome shirt op the website of fred flare and I was in love right away. The shirt is from Gossip Girl, what else, and you can order it in 4 different designs.
So are you a big Gossip Girl fan? Ask yourself the question if you are a Serena, Blair, Chuck or Nate fan and find that website.
My favorite character, I love him!, is Chuck. So because of the very sweet friend of my sister, Evelien, my shirt is ordered and on his way to Holland very soon.
Team Chuck for the win!

Chuck, Ed Westwick in real life, also has a band!
They are called The Filthy Youth and I must say, Me likes!
And not just because Ed is in the band, it's not the mainstream kind of music.
You can find them op myspace, you can also download their songs there for free!
I recommend the song Orange.

That's it for now!
More Noes-News next time!

Love x,
Noes

I'm not gonna write you a love song, do you need one?

Lately I am addicted to a new song, makes you feel chirpy again haha
So here it is

For some crazy reason the option 'hyperlink' does not work lately, so I'm just giving it to you like this, sorry!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR5xv3pt7KI

Head underwater
And you tell me
To breathe easy for a while
Breathing gets harder, even I know that
Made room for me, it's too soon to see
If I'm happy in your hands
I'm unusually hard to hold on to

Blank stares at blank pages
No easy way to say this
You mean well, but you make this hard on me

I'm not gonna write you a love song
'cause you asked for it
'cause you need one, you see
I'm not gonna write you a love song
'cause you tell me it's
Make or break in this
If you're on your way
I'm not gonna write you to stay
If all you have is leavin',
I gonna need a better reason
To write you a love song today

I learned the hard way
That they all say
Things you want to hear
And my heavy heart sinks deep down under you and
Your twisted words,
Your help just hurts
You are not what I thought you were
Hello to high and dry

Convinced me to please you
Made me think that I need this too
I'm trying to let you hear me as I am

I'm not gonna write you a love song
'cause you asked for it
'cause you need one, you see
I'm not gonna write you a love song
'cause you tell me it's
Make or break in this
If you're on your way
I'm not gonna write you to stay
If all you have is leavin',
Imma need a better reason
To write you a love song today

Promise me, you'll leave the light on
To help me see with daylight, my guide, gone
'cause I believe there's a way you can love me
Because I say

I won't write you a love song
'cause you asked for it
'cause you need one, you see

I'm not gonna write you a love song
'cause you tell me it's make or break in this
Is that why you wanted a love song
'cause you asked for it
'cause you need one, you see
I'm not gonna write you a love song
'cause you tell me it's make or break in this
If you're on your way
I'm not gonna write you to stay

If your heart is nowhere in it
I don't want it for a minute
Babe, I'll walk the seven seas when I believe that
There's a reason to
Write you a love song today

For the record, I don't write love songs in general
You have to be really really special for that, so let's just listen to the one sara made for us!

Binneeeeeen!

This message is in Dutch for a big part, because it's about a song from Marco Borsato and I think you can already guess which one!

Why am I blogging about this song?
Take a moment to think about this question... still no clue?

Because you have millions of options to make a parody of it!
To be honest... I already made several with friends

To begin with, the original lyrics:

Je bent binnen
binnen in mijn hart
binnen in mijn ziel
Van binnen
binnen sinds de dag dat ik voor jou viel
binnen
binnen in de droom die ik met je wil beginnen
je bent binnen
binnen....

The first parody I know was created during the introduction week, we had to do a game where you have to walk around the city and find out clues before you can proceed. Because we had a party at the evening some of our group had to go to the ATM machine, and now you can already guess which word kickt 'binnen' out of the song..

Je bent pinnen
pinnen bij de bank
pinnen uit de muur
ja pinnen
pinnen sinds de dag dat... (I don't know the last part anymore unfortunately)

When I was partying with some friends from work, we also managed to get our big boss in the song. To explain shortly, we work at the supermarket called "Dirk vd Broek" and of course the big boss' name is:

Dirk!
Dirk in mijn hart
Dirk in mijn ziel
ja Dirk
Dirk sinds dat dag dat ik hier werk
oooh Dirk
Dirk in de droom die wij hier gaan beginnen,
bij de Dirk
jaaa... Dirk

While I was discussing this song with my sisters I found out there are more options I did not think of, well for some that's a good thing.

When you are in a competition with your sports team or whatever team you can of course use:
Winnen!

A certain guy who was crazy about the female body used the word 'billen', really creative..

Any more ideas guys?

xx

It could be dangerous living in this valley!

It's been a while, but Noes is back!

What happened in the time in between?
- Busy, busy, busy with school. But if everything goes according to scedule that period will be over soon:)
- I created a huge addiction (yes, even more) to the band Paramore, I will see them again the 17th of June!
- I've been to the concert of Tegan and Sara
- The whole trip to America is planned
- The trip to London too
I know it's a bad excuse but I am really blaming school on not blogging ;)

Still a few weeks of school to go, but on the 16th of May this Noes will fly away to the USA!
We will stay on the campus of the NAU in Flaggstaff, Arizona to do a project. In the weekend we will visit Las Vegas which is awesome of course, but the thing is I am not 21. So I can not even gamble! But I'll just try to sneak in somewhere, cannot miss a chance like that.
When the rest of our group of school is going home again I will go to San Diego, Tijuana and Los Angeles with a few friends.
Because I have to do one stupid re-exam I have to go home earlier than hoped, so I will fly back on the 15th of June.

But actually this re-exam kinda saved me, because just a week or so ago I found out Paramore is coming back to Holland, but this is already on the 17th of June!
I still managed to get some tickets for myself and two of my friends but getting them meant waking up way to early on your saturday off, and that's really special when you work in the supermarket.
But after stressing out a bit and calling the computer some names, I got tickets!
At that moment the words chirpy and even hyperactive were on their place. Me, my jetlag and friends will be there!

If you do not know them yet, shame on you!
http://www.myspace.com/paramore
http://www.paramore.hyves.nl/ (yes, I started it)
http://www.paramore.net/

or just watch on of the videos to find out what you think:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bW68fuoPKo

Talking about music now, I've also been to the concert of Tegan and Sara on the 20th of March! I did not know them very well actually but one of my friends really wanted to see them so I went with her. They're live performance is great and they even played the song I know!
* I just want back in your head, lala lala lala lala*
The support band was Nothern state, three girls appearing to be calm with their keyboard and guitar but actually being female mc's with catchy rhymes.
The song "Iluvitwhenya" was even featured on greys anatomy!
I love their song "Sucka mofo"
You can listen to it on their myspace, just google them and you'll find it.

I have more new music, yes new for me, where I also got the name of this message out of but I'll keep that for next time because I don't know them that well yet.

Well after the USA and Paramore I have to do that re-exam, arrange the last Graduation Event because that's my TEF project on school and then I'm already going to London!
Yes, that's expensive to do all at once but after that I have the rest of the summer holiday to relax and work a little bit to save some money again:)

I think it's time again for me to do some studying!

What would any of you do? To fetch back...whitty Jack

I went to the third, and I hate to say it...last part of Pirates of the Caribbean; At world's end.

My review for you guys is very short, because maybe some of you haven't seen it. And then it's not very nice to tell you everything allready.

But I think this will say enough(for the girls anyway)

Well...don't it?
So for for the ones who haven't seen it yet, go now! yeah right now! It's worth it.
In my opinion is better then the second one and the guys are even hotter.

A lot like love

It's just an awesome movie! maybe the guys will think; aw such a chick movie again but whatever! for a chickmovie it's great!

So what you have to do:
1) buy/rent the movie
2) watch it!
3) download or buy(from iTunes) the following songs;

Aqualung - What a feeling

Third eye blind - Semi charmed life

Chicago - If you leave me now (this is the song you really have to sing along, just like in the movie; as loud and false as you can, and prefered while driving in you car)

Jet - Look what you've done

Officially dead? Na-ah!

don't listen to the message of one of my lovely friends, this blog did not pass away!
I was just waiting for some news that would actually interest you..
So don't worry, my blog is alive and kicking:D

*drum ruffle*
Jorien made it to no. 9 at the European Championships of Baton Twirling in Zagreb!
Congratulation joor :D I knew you could do it!
Curious about her performance?

so guys, what do you think? that's pretty damn awesome isn't it?!
In my opinion she deserved even better than a no. 9

Stefano is in Thailand at the moment, so if you want to know what he's up to you can check:
crazythailand.blogspot.com

And then about me, my exiting life!
well that's not that exithing at the moment because the last couple of weeks I just had school
and exams, yuck!

But there are some great things planned for the future!

uno) I'm going to pinkpop with a friend of mine, Krista, to see Linkin Park, Smashing Pumpkins, 30 seconds to mars, The Kooks, Evanescence, Maria Mena, The Fratellis, Arctic Monkeys, Scissor Sisters, Wolfmother and a few other things I don't really care about;)

dos) If these exams went well and I have enough credits to go to the next year, I'm officially going to Barcelona for 3 weeks!

Well Playa D'yaro to be exact, I'm going there with my friend Esther and her parents! I'm really looking forward to that!

Then I have a few songs for you, you really need to download or for the musicians around us who do iTunes the legal way, buy them!

Maroon5 - Makes me wonder
Linkin Park - What I've done
Brainpower ft Partysquad - Non stop
U2 - Window in the skies
Natasha Bedingfield - I wanna have your babies

if you follow the charts you might already have (a few of) them, but they are wonderfull! all of them! But if you have something I need to hear, comment me! New music is always welcome!

Now I'm talking about music, and the new song of Maroon 5..
Last week I saw the videoclip for the first time, and their drummer is sooo goodlooking so I waited for the moment he got a close-up, and guess what?! it was a whole other man!
So I was like; did he take an extreme make-over? he was way hotter before!
So with the help of the internet I searched for a reasonable explanation, and my fav. maroon5 member left the band! like WHAT?
Yes he left the band. Why? well I found out it he did not just left like: hey you guys, I kinda don't like playing music with you anymore so I'm quitting ok? see ya later!
No! Maroon5 did a lot of tours the past time and because of that Ryan's injuries became worse, or came back everythime until the moment he couldn't play anymore!
But I read he still is involved with Maroon5, he helped with the songwriting for the new album so we don't have to miss him completely!

Ryan, get well soon!

O and I would almost forget! for you who don't see me very often, I turned blonde again!

Spring is here and summer is coming so it was time for a change!

Now i've just heard that Mie(reille) has turned back blonde also so I'm very curious!
My partner in blonde :P

Tonight is one of the last Grey's Anatomies of this season, and I'm telling you it's going to be a hell of an episode! I know that because I peaked on the american website and saw a videoclip called 'The Story' and that videoclip + song contained pieces of episodes and I already saw to much!

So don't miss it!

My iPod is switched to a green one, because the pink one was broken, bye bye pinkie:(
but this one is working perfectly so you don't hear me complaining!
My coat is switched to, I don't understand how...well actually I do, but with this you will hear me complaining!
I went out friday night and at the end of the evening it got boring, everyone left so my sister got our coats and we left. On our way to the car I saw some differences between my coat and the one I had; a little thing on the zipper was missing and the collars of my sleeves(if you call it that way?) where a little more broad and is was just messy! For the rest the exact same colour, brand, size and so one. So some stupid drunk girl took my coat home instead of hers! Not a complete disaster but I always take very good care of my stuff and my coat was very neat and stuff, and now someone else has it! Very annoying! I want mine back!

So if you are reading this and you were at The Butler in Etten-Leur friday night 20th of april, and you have a black leather, short coat of vero moda... check it to see if it really is your coat, Thank you! and else I will find my own ways to get it back!

Well I gues that was it! I will try to come up with some stories sooner this time, before leo starts telling you this blog died:P

Knock them out!

no no, I won't knock you out! but this is an amazing song of Lily Allen, always makes happy!

*piano sound*
Alright so this is a song about anyone, it could be anyone.
You're just doing your own thing and some one comes out the blue,
They're like AlrightWhat ya saying, Yeah can I take your digits? And you're like;
no not in a million years, you're nastyplease leave me alone!

Cut to the pub on a lads night out
Man at the bar cos it was his shout
Clocks this bird and she looks OK
Caught him looking and she walks his way
Alright darling, you gonna buy us a drink then?
Err no, but I was thinking of buying one for your friend...
She's got no taste hand on his waist, tries to pull away but her lips on his face
If you insist I'll have a white wine spritzer
Sorry love, but you ain't a pretty picture

Can't knock em out, can't walk away
Try desperately to think of the politest way to say
Just get out my face, just leave me alone
And no you can't have my number
Why?Because I've lost my phone

Oh yeah, actually yeah I'm pregnant, having a baby in like 6 months so no, yeah, yeah...
I recognise this guy's way of thinking...
As he comes over her face starts sinking
She's like,Oh here we go..It's a routine check that she already knows
she's thinking they're all the same
Yeah you alright baby? You look alright still, yeah what's your name?

She looks in her bag, takes out a fag
tries to get away from the guy on a blag, can't find a light
"Here use mine"
"You see the thing is I just don't have the time"

Go away now, let me go
Are you stupid? Or just a little slow?
Go away now I've made myself clear
Nah it's not gonna happen,Not in a a million years!

Nah I've gotta go cos my house is on fire
I've got herpes, err no I've got syphilis...
AIDS, AIDS, I've got AIDS!

lalala, you should all have this number in you playlist or else..shame on you!
lily rocks!

and big news! well big, sort of.. after dinner me and my mom will go to the Media Markt to buy me a new mp3 player!
the very cute iPod Shuffle, the only drama-thingy left...what color!
green...or pink, very hard to decide..
so what do you guys think huh? help me! SOS!
so maybe I'll just see what isn't sold out yet

next time I'll have a more interesting story, I promise
enjoy Lily!
xx love,
me
